GT Speed Series vs Redline Flight Pro

I'm considering a new 24" complete to mess around with at the track and am wondering how these two compare? And are there any othres in the $1,000 range I should consider?

Both bikes are winners . You might wanna take a look at the Kuwahara Lachesis 24'' as well .

The Redline has better forks, the GT has better cranks. Other than that about the same. Try to ride it before you buy it.

Oh, the seat on the GT is adjustable. The seat on the Redline is not, if you plan to just ride it around town at times then you will hate the non adjustable seat.

Good point. If I go with the Redline I would likely need to get a 2nd seat/post set up for the road.

Have a look at the 2013 DK Elite Cruiser. Around $650 and equipped with excellent components.

Build on would be same price but better parts. Find a nice used frame. Was at national last weekend and bought a 24  supercross frame mint for $100 just for frame.

Those GT cruisers and all those GT frames ride great. I race the new designed GT 20" and the new KUWAHARA Lachesis and I love them both!    Let me know if anyone is interested in either one!

This. The DK is the best bang for the dollar on any complete race bike right now.

Re: GT Speed Series vs Redline Flight Pro

I have to say +2 on the DK also for price/components.  The beginning of last season, I borrowed a bike for a month and a half, until I had my 24" Standard done.  I started out on a 24" retro Quad, and thought it was going to break under my fat ass. Ask some guys to ride their stuff and see what you like, you may decide to do a full custom. I built two cruisers last year, had to have a 26 also!  If you are just messing around, why even spend a grand?  You can find some nice completes in the 300 or less range.
