Scrap Yard giving up the goods!
Ok so I have been "picking" some out of state scrap yards lately. Came across this yesterday, went back for it today.
From what I can tell it is obviously a Diamond Back. I looked at a bunch here on the Museum and from the split chain stays and the loop tail I would say this is most likely a Viper. Can anyone confirm this?

Taiwanese serial begins "F4" - check
1984 DB Viper (probably 4th gen)

Yours is the one I found that made me think it was a Viper, because of the seat tube decal. It is also the one I was going to use for a build reference.

lol cool. let me know if you need any better pics. I have a couple dozen pictures of the decal locations, spacing, etc. It's restored to 100% factory accurate specs/design other than the missing chain gaurd which broke when i was a kid.

Yes, they had White, Black, Chrome and maybe red or blue? Pretty sure i've seen a red or blue one before.

Totally disassembled this this morning. Threw out the cranks, sprocket, and pedals. Now to do something about this paint...
