Who the lucky sob? a Hutch judge score from Houston cl
I saw this ad pop up in Houston cl I called the guy and tried to called my dad to grab it for me but sold in like few min before my dad could do that for me.
If I still live in Houston I would probably be the lucky one
It was a poor shape faded candy red hutch judge but still a good shape f/f with good parts on it but the wheels are pos from walmart and the guy said he know those go big bucks when restored but want trade for xbo 360 or ps3 something like that. He post his phone# I called and talked to him but told me sold like 30 min after the ad was posted.
Neither sound too good to be true or somebody got lucky off this super deal.

Me.... The guy paid me to come and grab it.
I can not sit still. I have been tested for A.D.D. and A.D.H.D. and have neither. I don't need coffee, I just need a B.M.X. or surfboard to consistently ride and I'll be happy.

ok...I get the dings and dents that happen over the years, even the basic paint fade, but to go from red to gold? Not really reminiscent of BITD.

Neither is fresh paint/powder and repop decals. Even if og decals were found it still not the same. Anyway it's not my call. I was just stating my opinion. As mentioned by Scot above, he had only ever seen one of these fade to gold like that ( I have never seen one in person but there was a thread about one sometime ago, but think it was a trick star ). Imo I think the faded red makes it even cooler.

Re: Who the lucky sob? a Hutch judge score from Houston cl
Candy paint is a clear pigmint/tint that is applied over a metalic finish, usually silver but gold would be acceptable also. Any metalic color looks good under certain colors of candys, just look at the House of Kolor book, it will show apple red over their whole line of metalics. ![]()

+1 I could never and would never refinish something like that. Maybe its just me, but I'm sure others would agree with me.
To each is own..... It all comes down to, if its your bike, you can do what you want and makes you happy. ![]()

Structurally....looks good.
Aesthetically pleasing? Nope.
You can find OG decals if you are patient enough. If it were mine.....this is a great candidate to refinish (candy).
But it aint mine so....do what cha like. ![]()
Been buying BMX parts at 25 cents on the dollar since 2010....
