How Do You Like Your Bikes? Classy..Dirty..or Colorful?
Im bored to death sitting here working overtime so I figured Id pose this question. Ive been contemplating over the past few weeks how to change up my cruiser. Ive gone from neon green (colorful) to dark purple and chrome (classy/clean) and Im stuck now.
So the question Im posing, how do you like your bikes?
Colorful like in the eighties with all the dayglos and neons.
Classy/clean with one basic darker color with some chrome n black to accent.
Or, new school with the flat colors and translucents. Theres nothing colorful about NS unless youre Aaron Ross. ![]()
BTW, lets not make this a NS vs OS argument. I ride a NS flat colored bike but I still love the OS dayglos so its all cool. Enjoy!

Personally, I like the classy clean look myself. Not that I have a problem with OS dayglo but it just tends to look dated. Fine on a resto, but I wouldn't do it to something new. NS looks pretty cool to me but it tends to make them blend into the crowd a bit. My new race bike is going to be dark candy red with gold metal flake forks and bars. Iron Man colors basically.

I think it depends on the bike. If it's an old school freestyle, then neon or wild color schemes work well. Otherwise, clean looks best IMO.

Depends on the bike............ OS freestyle should be bright and colorful, OS racers should be classy and I put cruisers in that class as well.
Always looking for Schwinn Freeform and Dyno stuff, and I would love to put together a Dinky for my youngest before he is to old.

Where the music stinks, and they water the drinks, at the nudie bar.
Where the girlies dance in their underpants, at the nudie bar.
Where you see their butt, and their trap stays shut, at the nudie bar.
Where you can’t touch a breast, but you can cave in a chest, at the nudie bar.
Where you look at a thigh, and blacken an eye, at the nudie bar.
Where a buck’s enough to see their stuff, at the nudie bar.
Where the breasts may be fake but man do they shake, at the nudie bar.
Where you swear like a sailor, and wish you could nail her, at the nudie bar.

Ok, here she is as she stands today. As you can tell, I like clean with some color. I usually build mono colored bikes with chrome and just a little black but I tried to add some pink in there with this one.
This is her before the pink. In mono.

Rusty and dirty, but classy I like too. Classy though, means eyes on it, and wanting to steal it... Rusty, dirty, means no one looks at it. Having a bike no one ever heard of even better. An example: TNT

I will agree. You dont see it very often anymore. Ive never been a fan on chrome frames but I love chrome front ends and was always a fan of the chrome rear ends like the old Haros. Chromes a nice touch to class up a little color.

Some clean & classy, some dirty and some colorful. Depends on the bike and what I'm gonna do with it! ![]()
