Got this '81 Powerlite in the mail today..
.. best part is it's my birthday, no lie. The doorbell woke me up..

Now I have to decide how to build it up - maybe a full complement of og gold parts? What do you guys think?
I found this interesting, here's a pic of this one and another '81 frame I have. Never mind the yellow, I did a rattle can job that I'm going to ride for a while, eventually this one will be a mostly black bad boy. Anyway, the yellow one was originally chrome as well and the serial #'s on these 2 frames are only 60 apart, literally. Check out the difference on the bbs though. Can any experts out there shed some light?

I think OS gold parts would look rad
Interesting discrepancy you found with the tubes protruding into the BB. Maybe, if made in California 420 had something to do with that

Indeed. The chrome one is the lower serial fwiw.

Beat us both. I was 45 minutes too late to that shindig. I'll let you know if I ever part with it, although then you have to send it back to Illinois if you then ever part with it. It was here, went to Canada, now it's back... Thanks man
