The guys at Albes have talked about it for a little while, and now it's going to happen.
Oldschool BMX night on Saturday March 9. Still need to nail down some details, but it's about 99% going to happen on March 9th.
Come on out and bring an old BMX rig with you, whatever you're oldschool is, it doesn't matter. 70's, 80's, 90's....whatever....
Get to work on those projects and take advantage of the rare chance to show your bike off indoors. For once we won't have to worry about weather!!
Maybe we'll have a RAD viewing party, maybe we'll play Space Invaders on the bigscreen......who knows......who cares!? Lets just get together and hang out for a bit.....play some pool, listen to music, drink some "pops".
Come for the whole night, or just swing by...
This is in the planning stages obviously....it could grow into a big event, or maybe just a little gathering. Maybe we'll have a prize for the best 80's retro T-Shirt??
Please pass the word to everyone and anyone you think might be interested.
This will be a show and gathering only, no selling or swapping, so just bring your completes.
Albes may be a retail staple in the BMX world, but they are still our local bike shop, so come on out and show them some love.

Ok all you Albe's guru's here is a little trivia! the first pic is a Logo from the early 90's. Can you name all three characters?

The second pic was drawn by an Albe's rider back in 1991-92 and has gone on to be an owner of a bike company!

I wouldn't miss this gig!!!!

the 90's were the BMX dead years for me. I like some midschool stuff now, but never looked at or touched a bmx bike in the 1990's. But I'm going to guess that the character on the right is Todd? I wanna say the one in the middle is Flip, but I'm not sure if that pic predates Flip? I'm guessing the old man is the grumpy owner dude, but I don't remember his name. I'm more of a 16 mile and Gratiot Albes guy
