Newbie Introduction
I have been trolling around here for about a year drooling over the bikes and gaining a ton of knowledge
I was turned onto the site by a another member, greg zts, and the addiction began
My last bike as a kid was an '85 GT Performer, you know ...cost me a ton, kept it in my room, sold it 3 yrs. later to whomever, etc. I decided to build a 16" bike for my 6 y.o. son's birthday and he loves it!! I really did not document the build but I did take the before and after shots. I first want to thank the members on here for all the helpful hints, techniques, and parts that I have bought
I found this Dyno VFR on the local CL for $20 and took it from there using the colors from my old Performer.
Here's the before.
Here's a few of it finished.

Since this build, I decided the whole family needed rides so I have been working on those. I will be posting those as well very soon.
Thanks Again,
Mike
UPDATE: I figured my 3 y.o. daughter needed to ride old school like her brother so I picked up a 12" VFR off of CL and built it up. She loves it ![]()
These tiny pits are so awesome!!

No, I actually made them myself from scans and printed them on an inkjet. I owe a big thanks to Kelly (wired) who I have not met, but I learned everything from his posts

Thanks alot! Since I have had the pits done for a while, I have already aquired 2 more scores for my wife and I
I will be posting my score in a new post tomorrow. I am just starting to gather the parts for my wife's cruiser. I will have the 12" Dyno for a while as my 3 yr. old turns 4 next month and I have an 18 month old right behind her ![]()

Re: Newbie Introduction
Welcome aboard, nice builds! I've got a few questions, if you don't mind. Where did you get the pink seat? I need one for my daughter's project. And did you paint them yourself, or powder? If you painted, do you mind sharing the process? They came out great!
