Animal's BPE pedal.

Just wondering what the consensus is on Animal's BPE pedal. I like the idea of what they are trying to do. But at that price for a replacement body, you can just buy a set of regular Animal Hamilton PC pedals.  Thoughts?

Re: Animal's BPE pedal.

They may not be the first plastic pedals,bu they sure are the first to use that type of spindle design.

It's Animal,so you know they will hold up.

Re: Animal's BPE pedal.

My buddy use to run them until he broke one of the bodies. He contacted Animal but they didn't really help as their answer was replacement bodies are in the progress. So he switched back to his ol' faithful 12 yr old S&M pedals,LOL. He's very hard on pedals But they look interesting smile

Was your buddy expecting Animal to replace the pedal body that he broke? I see nothing wrong with Animals answer.

How long has your buddy been running these new BPE pedals for.

2 weeks,I thought it was funny cuz I run demolition PC pedals and had them for like 4 months and nothing broke yet. I fully agreed with animals answer also. But my buddy always has to have the newest parts as soon as they come out then bitches if they do not warranty them or something lol

LOL.....

You should inform your buddy, when parts say they don't come with a warranty, there is no replacement if /when he breaks them....bitching won't get him anywhere.

I'm really digging these new BPE pedals, even though I don't like plastic pedals.I might just have to get a pair.

Re: Animal's BPE pedal.

Animal is one of the best NS parts companies around, they stay true to their roots and make some of the best stuff.

There parts are not cheap, but you know it's some of the best stuff around that's been punished by streetriders.

Maybe he could not find the pedal bodies. Can you? Dans sells the pedals but no replacement bodies only. My friend was looking for some not that long ago and could not find any bodies only for sale anywhere.
What's the point to have replaceable bodies if you don't sell them? Buy new ones for $45?

Re: Animal's BPE pedal.

Damn I use to pedal down brick ledges on mine. lasted for awhile Never had a problem. Slid really good too. Just made my big toe hurt for some reason.

On a Animal note I just got a Javelin cassette hub on a trade. Gonna have to built it up.might even put a animal rim on it and see if they are better than the first ones. need to grab one of those hubguards too.
