Re: 1981 Rebel General Lee

I remember it clearly!  Also, remember Stephen and I came riding by your house after you cracked it - WE were all bummed for you.  That's waaaaaay cool you still have it after all these years.  wink

Re: 1981 Rebel General Lee

Wow!  You have a better memory than me.  Do you happen to remember what I did that cracked it?  Also, I have some jumping photos that I will set-up links to, as soon as I figure out how to.  Also, I set-up my Race Inc. photo, but it has not been approved yet.  I no longer have either of these bikes, but at least I have some photos.  I'm gonna check out the photos of your bikes too.  Thanks again for the write-up.

Re: 1981 Rebel General Lee

DANNY IN THE HAUS!  Man, those are some awesome pics.  I remember the jump out of that ditch by LaPetite - get some air!  I don't remember how you cracked the Rebel.  I just remember Stephen (Sal) and I were riding by and you had the bike flipped in your drive way and your dad was in the garage.  I think you may have cracked it at River City aka Lone Star BMX because you and your pop were examining it.  Most of the time, I remember you, Jack and Brandon whizzing by to some new jumps you guys would always find, like the bowl.  I lived at the second house from the tennis court.  There was a small curb jump over some grass to the opposite curb of the house next door you guys would always hit.  There was also the El Dorado Paseo where you guys would jump the ditch channels and then at El Dorado park, there was a semi table top jump you guys would fly.  Sure thing on the write up, that's just how remember you.     smile

Awesome pics, Dan! I did a little cruising around in those same spots in almost the same timeframe. Probably a few years earlier or so. I lived on El Santeo for a short while. One of my good friends lived over on El Tejano.

Re: 1981 Rebel General Lee

TxFireman, I remember those streets.  We used to spend hours riding around the neighborhood jumping all the best curbs and ditches.
TEXMEXBMX, I remember you guys at the second house from the tennis courts.  I had a friend named Mark that lived in about the sixth or seventh house.  He got in trouble from time-to-time, but we had fun.  I think he raced a redline.
