Back in 1989, I was 10........ And lusting over the new bashguard bikes. I grew up under privileged like a lot of inner city kids, and my family did not have a lot of money, let alone 4-600 dollars for a bike. So what did I do? A friend and I stole one, 1990 Aggressor team, chrome with Hazard decals from an acquaintance of ours (rich kid). No sooner than I got home with my new prize, my mother caught me and my friend with it. Beat the crap out of me, made me return it, and write apology letters to, I think, everyone I knew....lol. I have never forgotten how bad I wanted this bike. For the past 6-7 years, I have lazily looked for one, keeping missing them for sale by days, sometimes hours. I happen to mention this to my brother in law, whom used to ride for Bully, and he says he'll keep an eye out for me too as he is always looking for stuff for his 84 RL-20. A few months go buy, and I get a exasperated phone call, saying there is one on ebay. I quickly bid a ridicules amount, and a week later its mine!

It came about 60% complete, but in good shape. Nothing other than a full restoration will do. the following is a bunch of parts I have found over the past few months trying to build my dream bike.

And finally today's mock up of the power series cranks I got.

I have some more parts on the way, and am looking for places to re-chrome for me. I am still looking for some parts, see my signature below. Any help would be appreciated.

HAHAHA, love the story! As i was reading, I was hoping it wasnt the same bike, glad to see your building it, these are pretty hard to find, so nice!!!

Cool story and awesome bike. Can't wait to see this one completed. What are you gonna do about decals? I've heard the hazard decals are very difficult to find.

It is not, but I have hopes of actually tracking down the same bike. The guy we stole it from was a really cool guy, and didn't hold it against me later. I know he still lives in my area and am actively looking to make contact with him to BUY the bike....lol

I have repo decals.... they are in the second pic on the floor.

I never actually saw one in person , very rad story and the build will look awesome , I'm pretty sure of that .

Tha'ts it for now. Hopefully she will be off the the chrome'r soon for some rejuvenation!

The only one I ever saw in person, was the one I stole as a kid.....lol. That makes this one the second I have ever seen. I wonder if these are more rare than say a Haro Master from 89-90?

Sweet bike! Love the hazzard models. The stem is a race version so you will probably have to drill it out if you want to use it. Only certain GT stems will accept either bolt.

I just bought another one,,,,lol. I was conflicted about riding this one since it will be all NOS and too nice, so I am building another............. (A Twin) with all used parts to ride. I think I need help.......lol
