current progress... King rebuild

couldn't get shims for the headset to fit right, so instead of the king fork/stem, i went with a ditchfork/redneck. looking to have it powdercoated soon, not sure if i should do blue or black. also, what are some good pegs from 96-98 i should go with??

Re: current progress... King rebuild
I would love to build a King some day.
Why wouldn't the King fork work on the frame?
For pegs, use some old Standard pegs. Maybe some Basic Silecers or maybe even some Primo pegs from those years?
WANT TO BUY-
Standard Bykes stickers

Re: current progress... King rebuild
The forks and stem are 1", the frame is 1-1/8 and I can't find the right shim/headset combo to use it.i'll hold onto it just in case I do find it. As for pegs, I have some stogies, kinks and some beat up hoffman's. I'd love some steel silencers are standard pegs.

Re: current progress... King rebuild
Maybe check Ebay for the shims.
The Stogies or Kink pegs would be good on there as well.
Trade you some Standard pegs for the King fork/stem
(joking, those King set-ups are super rare!!)

Re: current progress... King rebuild
I bought a set of shims, but the ID is too small(shim is too thick). I'm in no rush. If I find it, I find it. And the search continues for pegs

Re: current progress... King rebuild
... yeah if I was Donald Trump I'd maybe have a destroyed fork/stem.
Finding the one had that was later stolen from my friend.. is a lost cause.
Looks like this will come out nice, though. You should let me ride it at a NYC or JC ride in the future.
