Re: Re chrome or Powder Coat whats better?
that chrome looks great - just polish it
Look under bottom bracket and inside of rear drop-outs for serial #, but may be an early one and thus no serial #

Hey David - I've used both Mother's Chrome (they do make it) and Blue Magic. Then final wipe down with a microfiber towel.

Was just looking at your brake bridge - is it stamped "Hutch" or are the "Hutch" letters drilled out? Look here for some serial # info...

Whatever you do.....DO NOT peel those decals off!
Just a light cleaning is all you need to so to that frameset. Anything else will diminish its desirability.

Re: Re chrome or Powder Coat whats better?
just clean and polish it. mothers chrome polish like mentioned above will do just fine on it.
I have a few chrome frames that were in worse condition than that is and they are now looking nice and shiny with nothing but a cleaning and polish.
nice find btw. ![]()
