Something's fishy about this. According to some of this guys past feedback says he has an attitude. Why would someone keep the tracking number? Maybe because
he really didn't ship???
Here's the story:

I won a set of ARAYA wheels from this guy and got them relatively cheap. I then paid, and asked for a TRACKING NUMBER.
Legit right? I should ask for a tracking number. I mean, delivery confirmation is something like .70.
Here's the messages between him and I:

ME:
Hi, I need tracking number. Thanks, Tim

HIM:
they have been shipped you got them dirt cheap I had more then that into them i am not real happy about this outcome, dont pressure me any more about them
when you get them they look way better in person then the auction you straight came up!!!!! but they have been shipped you will get them within a week, ybbasic2009

ME:
I understand that these went for the amount that they did. It has happened to me too, many times and I was not happy either. You should have put a reserve on them if
you were worried about them. Please send number when shipped. Thanks

HIM:
you did not pay for a tracking # I paid for a delivery confirmation # for myself

ME:
If you got a delivery confirmation number its on the package, So send me the delivery confirmation number, so I can track it also. Thanks

I dont have to do anything I dont want to do why are you so persistant about a tracking #???? you only need that if and when an item does not show up it is not manditory
for me to get a tracking # I think I am going to cancel your bid and block you from bidding your like a pest dont be mad at me for keeping it real either

ME:
According to eBay, you have not shipped. If you have a delivery confirmation number you claim from your email that you got for yourself, you need to list it with eBay so BOTH of us can track it. Tim

HIM:
Seriously one more email from you and I am pulling the auction blocking you and letting ebay know why, they have all the emails relisticly you will probably get them tomoerrow or the next day

Am I wrong in this, or is this guy a douchbag??

I had a dealing with a a**hole like that last year. Might be the same guy. Lol I just left him alone and the parts showed up. He didn't package well either. People are crazy.

What an idiot! Ebay without a reserve is a gamble, that`s the fun bit. Hope the wheels turn up, they are yours after all. If he would like to buy some more numbers to keep secret I have some for sale!

Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
I did bid on something else he has up right now, and he's threatening me by cancelling my bid on the auction.

Just for asking for tracking??

Sounds like a real winner, that would be the first and last time I would deal with him. There are way to many slime balls on ebay any more. No reserve it go's cheap they throw it in a box and ship it cheap bulk mail and could care less if it's in one piece when you get it, if they ship it at all. They act like it's the winning bidders fault they are stupid or the item isn't worth the $500 they thought it should be.

I've gotten stung before by not putting a reserve on my stuff and have learned my lesson. He just didn't get what he wanted for them, it's his fault he had no reserve and he's taking it out on me.

He probably sent them parcel post, the cheapest way via USPS. I wouldn't worry about it unless they don't show up within 2 weeks. I buy stuff on Ebay all the time, if I get a tracking number it's just a "bonus" in my book. But as a seller, I always email the tracking number.

Sounds like a little cry baby be-otch, screw him there are other parts and sellers out there, hope you get the wheels in good condition vs money back, PP will get the money back but sounds like the wheels are the better deal. I've told a few seller where they can shove their parts
