1987 Dyno Detour
1987 Dyno Detour
this was my first bike in the summer of 1987. it was stolen from me in 93. i just recently rebuilt this to the exact specs that was on my OG dyno.
i rebuilt this bike to the exact specs as the one in the poloroid i have uploaded in the comments, all the way down to the white dice caps
F/F--1987 Dyno DeTour (new decal kit)
Bars--Dyno pretzel
seat post--Dyno drain pipe(stamped CR-MO)
stem--generic stem that came on the performers and detours in black
seat--Dyno in black (NOS)
tires--OG GT tan walls with the yellow wing logos (NOS)
brakes--Odyssey 3000 calipers, RX-3 locking levers in black
front brake cable--Odyssey slic (NOS)
detangler--Odyssey 1st gen rotor and cables in black (NOS)
wheels--GT Performer mags in black
cranks--JM 175mm cromo
pedals--HTI-863 in black (took forever to find these)
seat post clamp--Odyssey
grips--AME' tris in white
chainwheel--GT wing logo 44T
chain--white on black Izumi
valve caps--these really cool white dice
headset--was OG to the frame when purchaced
BB-generic looseball 24TPI
there ya have it
i hope ya'll enjoy the pics and it was really a blast to be able to rebuild this with my 11yr old. he's super excited to ride this but we have a lot of rain here in WA state

Yeah imma gonna wait till summer to try and recreate the pic as close as possible, making sure that the shadows as close as can be as we'll as the positioning of parts and location of emblems on tires in relation to the mags. Should be a good challenge. I got a local guy here (flight racing, brad) who does a really good job at photography

Thanks guys this was a really cool project for me and my son
A lot of detail went into this like making sure all parts where exact to match
Oddly enough the pedals where the hardest for me to find but now I have an extra set cuz a member hooked me up with a pair after I had found some.
This is not the OG bike that's in the poloroid, it's a rebuilt one to match
We are excited that this has finally been built and excited to Cruz it around once weather permits
