Haro's got tons..Hutch has lots too...Any one have actual figures?

I would imagine Shwinn or a cheaper bike. Sell 3-4 times as much as others probably.

Well, the most department store bikes has to be Huffy. The most "higher end" bikes has to be Mongoose (pre walmart) or GT, no???

There are more GT's in the museum than anything else (4586). Followed by Haro (3079), Mongoose (2976), Redline (2300), and the combined SE (approx. 2200.)
I don't know if that means they sold more, more survived, or both.
It does say something about the quailty of all of the above brands that they're around being ridden by overweight middle aged guys though.

50 million is a HUGE #!!! And I agree with SARON81 about the fact that all of us old fat guys still ride our GT's... I own 4 myself... So, GT or GOOSE??? Tough call here!!!

I'd say gt bikes put out more, then mongoose right behind them. 3rd I'd say haro.

That was bmx related ^^^^ Bikes in general I'd guess Schwinn one of the oldest brand names in the game (even if it isn't the American icon it once was)

i didn't really think of the PK. this is a valid point. I just think, as far as the museum goes, GT's are more readily available.

It's a fact that GT has sold more bikes than anyone ever. They kept it afloat through the dark days. Their marketing team in the 80's and 90's was hands down the best. That's why anytime anyone talks about bikes either they say schwinn or they say GT.

PK model was introduced in 79 and is still a model offered in today's market some 30+ yrs later !

The Performer came out in 1984 (and sold in much higher numbers) and is still available today.

If you're talking just BMX, Mongoose is a good pick. If you're talking about the most bikes produced, It has to be Schwinn. The least bikes produced would be a tricky one. LRV comes to mind.
