Re: 1990 Diamond Back Assault

You have some Very nice bikes!
I used to spend hours on end down at Earls. A person could just sit back and talk to Earl about bikes, cars, investments, the Air Force, his grand daughter or just about where to get the best deal on groceries.lol
I met Earl back in 1984 and purchased everything from my first Hutch Pro Raider to my last GT Tour Model. Earl was a great friend.
I would like to hear back from you. Im still in Omaha and would LOVE to see your collection.

Re: 1990 Diamond Back Assault

this exact bike is the assault model that we got in new zealand. very capable little bike. it's only real weakness was the cranks, which had to be replaced with chromoly 1-pc.
there were tons of these bikes around new plymouth where i lived. most people would get a pitbull rear brake, and a layback. i rode the full chromoly reactor too, but preferred the assault. much easier to bunnyhop.

Re: 1990 Diamond Back Assault

I remember writing out my entire Christmas list asking for only things from Earls Bike Shop.  Awesome place!  Ive got a line on this same exact bike from a guy I met in South Dakota.  Im going to pick it up in a few weeks.
