1979 Raleigh Boxer 16

First Bike Memory

My sister just dug this picture out. Think I'm about six. Raleigh Boxer - I learnt to ride on that bike. This picture is taken in Ireland during the annual summer holiday. It was brought across on the ferry, from London strapped to the top of the car. The Raleigh Boxer and Striker had flexible plastic flaps on the mud guards. You could tuck them against the front tire to create instant "motor bike" sound.
I loved that bike.
