Couple old DB parts for my next build
Hi all,
Just bout finished my GT and have the next build lined up. A DB senior Pro....
The frame, forks and bars are on their way and they are pretty special. I'll get some pics when it arrives....
But in the meantime I have been looking for parts and have managed to find some. Lately I have been trying for as much OG stuff as I can and have also been displaying a jersey with my bikes....which can be very hard to find....
So here are two bits of kit for my next build.....
The Rad Pads in black/silver have been quite hard to find but finally got them..... studs all stamped like they should be...
And for just a little more authenticity, even the foam is stamped...I never knew they did this!!! ![]()

And here's a couple of my builds with my recent jersey fetish
.....

And my turbo that doesn't quite look right with the OG DB jersey ![]()

Cheers ![]()

Wow dude...I'm not personally into bikes I can no longer fit well on but those bikes are beautiful! I've never seen a red Harry Leary Turbo before ![]()
Old School BMX bike collecting is a hobby and New School Retro BMX bike riding is a hobby. Respect the part of the hobby I enjoy and I'll promise to respect and even compliment the part of the hobby you enjoy. Disrespect what I like and I'll disrespect you...simple enough right?

Re: Couple old DB parts for my next build
Very nice! Just a suggestion would be to change the number on the Turbo to 25, which is Leary's old NBL number
If it has tits or tires, it's gonna give you problems.

Re: Couple old DB parts for my next build
Hi All,
This is what my next build is being based on.....
I was unsure of a couple of parts and thought I'd try my luck and hit up Eddy on Facebook.
Not only did he reply overnight, but he couldn't recall what grips were on the bike and did some research for ME to get the right info!!!
What a champion bloke!!!
Anyway I'm still away for work for another week, but I have this pic stuck on the wall above my desk and just stare at it.
I haven't been this excited about a build for AGES!!!!!

Re: Couple old DB parts for my next build
Ok, so to finish off the parts for this build, I still need:
NOS SR Clamp (all black or black/silver)
NOS Nagaoka fluted seat post
Sunshine Pro-am 36 holes hubs
NOS Oakley F1's in Black/Grey
(Hopefully putting a WTB ad in a Build thread isn't against the rules.....I just figured this thread may get a few more views
)

Re: Couple old DB parts for my next build
So, my blank canvas has arrived.
1982 Senior Pro and Pro Bars
It is all NOS and the chrome is like nothing I have seen before...it's PERFECT!!
Here's some pics....

Even up the gusset is pretty sweet!! ![]()

Now I just need to source a couple more harder to find parts and I can think about starting the build.
Cheers ![]()

You're gonna stand there, ownin' a fireworks stand, and tell me you don't have no whistlin' bungholes, no spleen splitters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker don'ts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistlin' kitty chaser?

Re: Couple old DB parts for my next build
Ok, here's a bit of an update. Been busy as with work and family stuff and am only now satrting to get close to being able to build.
Apart from the Phil Spider (and the cranks which need to be painted) everything is NOS or that close it doesn't matter.
I thought about just leaving it as a kit and displaying it, but I like building so I'm doing it!!
Anyway, here's the latest pics. I have some OG Comp III's lined up (fingers crossed) and I know a reasonably short gentleman that just scored the Black/Grey F1's that I need too.......
