Re: Need Some Help with my Hutch Pro Star
Somebody must have jammed a wheel with too big of an axle in there, I know there are some newer wheels that have an axle just slightly bigger than 3/8s...

Does the axle have flats on it?

Re: Need Some Help with my Hutch Pro Star
I would file the axel before you file the frame. Take a look at the threads on the axel and see if they have already been filed down just a bit to create a flat spot right next to the collars.

Re: Need Some Help with my Hutch Pro Star
Instead of using a file on the dropout you should use a dremmel tool, it is a lot faster. ![]()

Re: Need Some Help with my Hutch Pro Star
Yeah, please don't file the frame. That is not the answer.

Re: Need Some Help with my Hutch Pro Star
just go grab a dewalt saw zall and a metal blade and go from either side of frame and continue to trash it
i'm sick of people lowballing and changing their mind after the details of item were given then asking for money off or refund . now all items are sold as is no returns ask all questions before dibbing .

Re: Need Some Help with my Hutch Pro Star
Looks like the drop out is slightly closed. I would bet the axle fits through near the front. I imagine when the hub is assembled the drop outs will space open and line up the slightly damaged threads where it will slide right in. $.02

Re: Need Some Help with my Hutch Pro Star
My Hutch drop outs were tight too, probably someone cranking down on a chain adjuster or something.
