Been wanting a 24" GT- courtesy of Clint Eastwood
Clint Eastwood, well, sort of...this thing is full of the Good the Bad and the Ugly and I'm not sure exactly what to do with it...
First of all this thing was a complete, but the rims, post, and seat are headed for the trash. The frame is a 1995 24", but has had the brake mounts removed and a brake bridge poorly welded and a front MX brake used on the rear with a bunch of washers. Any ideas on what to do with the frame?
WTF?
24" threaded SE Landing Gear forks:

Lol, dibs on some brake bolt washers. ![]()
I can not sit still. I have been tested for A.D.D. and A.D.H.D. and have neither. I don't need coffee, I just need a B.M.X. or surfboard to consistently ride and I'll be happy.

These are not special washers. Apparently any crackhead can use them to mount a front brake on the rear, but if you really want them...![]()

Yeah, that was one of my thoughts for this. If I do put a brake bridge on, maybe some kind of cool design instead of a rectangle though. I have a good powdercoater, maybe a nice GT yellow or something completely different.

Stuff like that's fun. Real restorations are very satisfying. Not like just buying a bunch of parts and bolting them on. Have fun with it ![]()

Had my eye on that one! I like the idea of a custom brake bridge design. Maybe even in the shape of the "GT" logo to set it off. Would look good under the yellow ![]()

Yeah just grind down the welds smooth. Cut that cable hanger off. Smooth that out and then podercoat that bish. A right angle whiz wheel with some 3M pads do wonder on welds like that. ![]()

Real cool idea, although I would replace the flat brace with a round one, then run Pitbull IIs on it...
