Looks to be the 502nd one made in October of 84.
I can not sit still. I have been tested for A.D.D. and A.D.H.D. and have neither. I don't need coffee, I just need a B.M.X. or surfboard to consistently ride and I'll be happy.

Not sure which your question is but you can use that F/F as a Mach One or a Pro...it's your choice. My choice = Pro.

Re: Expert help needed here ,,santa ana award desine pro mach one ?
it could be either is what troynlori is saying. it would depend on the components that it came with, would be my guess as to what makes the difference.

Re: Expert help needed here ,,santa ana award desine pro mach one ?
So basicly it will depend on how i deside to build it ,,sence it would have been the buyers choice,,in the early 80s,,seems there was no parts list for 84 and back, you semply walked in and picked out your parts for the build,, from what I have read ....thanks all

Re: Expert help needed here ,,santa ana award desine pro mach one ?
Kind of Joe. Here's the deal. Before '84 GT was not really thought of as a complete bicycle company. Just thought of as frames/forks/bars/post company. While they did have sort of a factory spec bike (ie GT F/F/B/P w/GT recommended suppliers for the subcomponents), they were not thought of as a company for completes. As time progressed they decided they wanted to introduce factory completes, '84 was the year for this and one of the first completes was the Mach One as a lower end (relative to high end) bike. To produce this complete, they first just grabbed what they already had.......the GT Pro (not Pro Racer) frame/fork. They added their factory spec parts to it, changed the decals to Mach One and went to market. As time progressed further, into '85 the Mach One got steel handlebars, frame began coming from Asia, etc....not that they really promoted that the frames came from Asia. Eventually the Mach One became it's own animal. The "GT Pro" was just a frame and fork. The GT Mach One, Pro Series, Team Series were all completes originally based on the GT Pro frame/fork.
No one walked into a store and bought a Mach One F/F and then chose their parts. If you did that you bought a "GT Pro". My personal preference, because the Mach One was considered 'entry level' would be to go with Pro (even though, under the skin, they have the same F/F). Clear as mud?
