I scored this Redline a few nights ago. It looks to be in good survivor shape. I lucked out and found it on my local CL.

I knew it was too good to be true. I guess I took the RL stamped bars and frame decals for granted.

What's the serial? 6 digit, no letters? Top tube length? Looks like it might be a Microline frame too. I agree, maybe not a survivor.

Pro-Lines have a 5 inch head tube.

Aren't those the right decals for a microline too? Looking at the drops, definitely either American mx-ii or microline frame I think.

To the op, don't get too discouraged about this bike. Still good stuff!

I think MX-II also. With Microline forks. Very cool. Great race bike.

Ok guys the headtube is 4" and the sn is 027177. Not sure on what it is now. But I only paid 20 bucks for it so I can't complain too much. Thanks for not flaming me on saying it was a Proline. After looking at the Prolines in the museum more closer then I realize its not what I thought it was.

Ditch all the checkered and white stuff and you'll have a nice ride. And yeah, $20 bucks seems a little odd.

Yea the white and red checkered stuff makes it look cheap. And to be honest the man was only asking $18 for it. I have no idea where he came up with the 18. But I called him to make sure I was seeing that $18 right and make sure he didn't mean $180. Nope. He told me $18. I drove about an hour to get it and he was an older retired man who was cleaning out his garage. He had it up at his other home in the mountains and brung it down to his beach house to sell at the flea market. But he listed it instead on CL. I saw it 5 minutes after it was listed. He asked was I crazy for driving an hour to buy a small BMX bike. I told him no sir. I enjoy it and handed him a $20 and he even tried to give me change. I refused and said thanks and was on my way.

first of all I dont want to ruin your score. its a cool bike and with the suggested upgrades (lose the checkered crap and white tires) would be awesome.

The thing that is weirding me out is that it looks like a Museum build. the white tires and checkered parts just scream Museum newbie build. So that is why I think its a weird $20 score cause surely a Museum member would part it out in the classifieds here for alot more than $20.

Then again, maybe I am putting too much thought into it.

either way its a great score.

Thanks and I like them also but not on this bike. I have a friend wanting the bike and if he doesn't want the pads(which I don't think he will) then I will re new my pro membership and we can do it on there the right way so tcoolhat we can both get feedback.
