WOW, thats my Bike !! Been looking for years and couldnt remember what Ammaco I had as a kid but that certainly looks like it. It was certainly Blue and Chrome. Did Ammaco do any others in that colour scheme between 83 - 85 ??
Makes me want to hunt one down and build one now !!
Dont suppose anyone has links to Ammaco catalouges from that era ?

Re: 1983 Ammaco Silver Star
This is the first BMX bike I bought for myself new with paper round money. Typical story and very cheap bike at £99 as I recall! I went on to a DP Firebird that I custom built up, but the Ammaco was my first love! I bought the frame and forks from Ebay last year for £20 and will build it up one day with slightly better parts than it came with as a complete. The catalogue someone asked about is in the museum. I had the black trim bike but I think they did blue and red too. This Silver Star is the model for the one I will build, it's super nice. Classy restoration mate.

Re: 1983 Ammaco Silver Star
BTW, it would look great with decals. I've seen some nice blue an white Ammaco decals on a bike in the museum. I bought some Ammaco Freestyle Pro decals from Ebay that I'm planning to use without the "Freestyle" part!
