Re: 1989 auburn cr20s

0k its finally here.
Heres how it all came together.
I place and add saying want to bye a auburn got a respons from a rad dude GTCOMPE with this pic.
http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh9/laver81/auburn.jpg
I had to bye it strait away after about 3 weeks it was at my door.
http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh9/laver81/auburn004.jpg
I had mega trouble with the seat post it was like it had been welded in, at first i drilled a hole in the post to put a bar throo it to get a good grip on it.
when the post wouldnt budge and it started folding and alost snapping i thought i was in big trouble.
then we broke out the home made slide hammer, u can see the post is all crimped and flat from my first attempt.we had to weld the slide hammer to the post and heat the frame up in a vice and after about 20 mins of slide hammer penetration we where out.
http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh9/laver81/slidehammercopy.jpg
Ok time to paint
http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh9/laver81/auburn010.jpg
http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh9/laver81/auburn014.jpg
http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh9/laver81/auburn013.jpg
Next up was the decals.it was a long and stressful wait for the decals bar and forks.
http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh9/laver81/decals006.jpg
http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh9/laver81/decals009.jpg
And now its almost complete just waiting ona chain wheel seat clamp and pedals

Simply awesome Wraith!!!  You did very well with this bike.  I love that color and the decals set it off real nice.  That chrome rear triangle rocks!!!  Beautiful ride man!!!

NICE BIKE wraith, it cameout wicked sweet. Good luck finding a padset for it. I saw a Auburn white padset for $150 on ebay last week. Go with a flite padset if you even are going to put one on.

Yeah, I talked to that 2wheels777 before on the phone.  Funny guy and I have no idea how he found my number (especially my personal cell)...that one still has me a little weirded out...  hmm

Nice work wraith.
I love the way these bikes look and can't wait to get mine done to see how they ride.
Now you have to do a later model one.

Handlebars haven't seen a pair since I started looking. I was going to buy a whole bike just for the bars but I stopped myself.

Yeah, looks pretty sick with the white sugino GT cranks I had...it's got black GT mohawk's (48h) on it now, but the chrome is toast on the rims, probably going to strip them down and tr to polish them out.
