I got it from a friend of mine early dec2012, I had another one a looooong time ago but sadly I couldnt salvage it ![]()
So now is my chance to try again haha
I will b trying to keep it as original as possible, will not be powdercoated(that suff is expensive!!!) Will be doing my best spraying it.
Will be restoring most the og parts that came with it, and will be posting as I go along, and also this bike is going to be for my wife
Follow if you like. Ill try to keep it fun for you guys.
So this is what it started as

Re: 1987 mongoose decade restoration
Ok so im back from leave now I can get back to the fun.
As I was taking the bike apart I ran into a horrible problem, the seat post was stuck waaaaaayyy down!!
So I started messing with it n spraying just about every kind of spray there is on there but nothing!
So I tryied with plyers n drills to get it off until it broke off n just made the problem worse

So after everything I just decided to heat the tubes

Didnt work as well as I thought but it did the job and finally I got the post out.
