Sick -- what a great idea. Seems like a tonne of work. Is the s-t-r-e-t-c-h expensive?

Thanks for the positive comments guys and yes, for me it is pretty expensive (relatively speaking) but considering the work that Tim needs to do to accomplish the job it seems reasonable.
I was quoted $250 for the F/F conversion.

250$ just for stretch or does that include powder?

$250 actually sounds pretty reasonable considering its the frame doc. I wouldve guessed around 150-175 for the f/f work alone anywhere else, then theres still the powdercoat and shipping.

Yup, $250 was the quote just for the 20" - 24" conversion. There's nobody around here I would trust with this job.

I'm still considering options for powder or paint

Re: Build Thread - Custom 1987 Dyno 2-Four Freestyle Cruiser

Next up some 180mm Primo Powerbites arms (2nd gen I think, no pedal inserts???) purchased locally from my man Troy.

These were black and I stripped them with Easy Off this afternoon. Forgot to take a before pic.

These will have the Primo logo filled and smoothed, will be cleaned up overall and either polished or powdered silver. Kinda intending to fake the Power Series funk as others have done.

New 22mm hollow spindle, new hardware kit and new Primo American BB from Ebay user BMXguru.

It is my understanding that they were TIG'd, ground, smoothed and tumbled

That is exactly how I did them.

Yo! What up Jason? I had no idea you were a welder man but anything in the future I will hit you up. Probably be a while before I try anything like this again though lol

Not only a welder, but State of CT certified in just about all processes. I do quite a bit of fabrication at work
