Re: Skyway t/a vs. hutch pro racer
Both are cool.
Hutch:
Great chrome!
Classic loop tail design
Nice and quick steering
Great marketing and mystique
Great decals
Light
Skyway ta:
Feels longer than it is
Bada$$ tear drop tubing
Hard to break
Great detail in the metal work
Slower, more stable, steering
Cool decals
I have one of each so I didn't have to choose. ![]()

Re: Skyway t/a vs. hutch pro racer
I have both but the TA is my obvious favorite, the aero tubing, decal font, colors and style are just awesome, plus skyway is great American company with no drama and consistent craftsmanship that survived the 80's. They're ads were great and really appealed to kids BITD, it was my first choice in 83 and still is today.
Although in Hutch's defense, it's off topic but nothing rides like a Judge, very tall, quick, strong and comfortable even with the shorter TT.
Looking for some reasonably priced Revcore parts for a Hutchins build.
Always looking for nice SKYWAY parts & gear.

that's just not fair, you can't just throw the judge in there like that. that's a no contest ![]()

Re: Skyway t/a vs. hutch pro racer
Have owned both and have to say I love the ta hands down but for riding at the time I preferred the pro racer cause it has that extra inch to the standard ta but now I have a ta xl and that is the best bike I personally have ever ridden.

Re: Skyway t/a vs. hutch pro racer
I love my Hutch, it feels and rides a lot "larger" than a skyway does. My Pro Racer still feels perfectly comfortable today to me, whereas the T.A. feels rather small. I still wish I had a T.A. tho, always wanted a Skyway. You better suck it up and get em both, you will eventually anyway, cause no matter which one you get now, the other one will Gnaw away at you for years, lol ![]()
I got lots of stuff, what you need? lol

Re: Skyway t/a vs. hutch pro racer
The TA is beautiful, but the Hutch rides better IMHO.
I think it's the difference between wanting to look at it all day and wanting to ride it all day.
If you like slower steering bikes the TA may be perfect, especially if you can get an XL.

Skyway T/A: better styling, lighter, unique, nimble, ahead of its time.
