Mystery Score. Let's see how good you are. Tell me what it is.
Because I have no idea what it is.
Mystery Score. Anybody got any ideas? I looked through 100 pages of bikes and didn't see one that matched. It's really cool though. Everything looks period from maybe late 70's ??? Lots of cool parts, but the frame is ?????

Are there enough gussets???

You think this might be a date stamp???
Really short serial number...

That one has lotsa gussets too but they're different. This one is not a looptail, and the brake bridge is a tube and not flat steel.

It looks like an Ashtabula to me (except for the front gusset).

TrulyOdd, BMX1966, Larock. The race is on.....one of them knows.
I'll recall it once they say it, but it escapes me.

Re: Mystery Score. Let's see how good you are. Tell me what it is.
It's a 1976 Sun Cycle Company "Black Diamond". It was built in Astabula Ohio by Ashtabula. The frame weighs 6lb and it's mild steel and MIG welded. see BMX News article / ad at the bottom of this thread.

has to be a strong frame with all the gussets you would think
i'm sick of people lowballing and changing their mind after the details of item were given then asking for money off or refund . now all items are sold as is no returns ask all questions before dibbing .
