Re: 1978 Mongoose Motomag

Hey hayward. Do me a favor if you ever get over to the Alameda area. Look for my old mongoose for me. I was stationed at the NAS and my `goose was cabled at the end of the pier. After we pulled back in after a 2 week exercise I noticed that my bike was gone. I reported it but I think the shore patrol (mp`s) took it because it wasn`t registered. I wound up getting a hutch to replace it (still got it). Had to have it registered with the base and the CHP. Got the hutch from a shop in Alameda on webster street. Can`t remember the name of it. Anyway, all this took place around 1987. Doubt my old friend will turn up but, never know. The frame was red (not original red, kinda burnt red), blue tuffs and other blue stuff. I also had a powerlite out there. Sold it tho.

By the way, is that skating rink still there on, I believe it was mission st. or something? Man I was there every night it was open.

Anyway, nice bikes man.

haywardbmxer, what did you end up getting for it on ebay if you don't mind me asking? You did a nice job of cleaning it up.
