New Tuff II's
Just received some new tuffs from American cycle. Could anyone enlighten me about the extra little holes opposite the valve stem. Curious if its a one off mark or something. Thanks

I believe you are referring to the reflector mount hole

Seems odd that it's just a single hole. Did tuffs vet have proper reflector mounts?

Re: New Tuff II's
Skyway makes the Tuff Wheels with reflector holes now. I'm the only dealer that gets them without the reflector holes.....
Since we are seeing Tuff Wheels being used now on complete bicycles, by law, bicycle manufacturers must supply reflectors with the bikes, so Skyway has now made the reflector holes as part of the manufacturing process.

If you have a tire mounted, with air pressure in it, remove the tire and tube. The wheels "memory" might allow it to bend back into shape after a few days. You can also try to let it sit in a bathtub of cold water.
Or, just buy a new set.... ![]()

Nah... not breaking the law. I'm selling them as a aftermarket item, so no need for the holes. I order enough from Skyway where I get the wheels the way I want them...

I love that "largest Tuff Wheel dealer" claim. And they only have white and black Tuff Wheels. ![]()
I have about 450 Tuff Wheels in stock at this moment. He's gotta have more! LOL...

See...now that is funny.
Skyway NEVER stopped making Tuff Wheels. They have been in constant production since the 70's. Same factory. Same wheel mold, same machines making them. Same people. What year did they stop being real?

WORD.
New tuffs are in every way, better. Sealed bearings, no cracks, no wear, no age, no fade, same exact design.
Now, I personally like the look of the alloy flanged tuffs better, but I've got plenty of love for new tuff wheels. Identical design since '85.
Any NOS tuff wheel from the '85+ design should never sell for more than a new tuff wheel. It just makes no sense.
