Re: 1997 2 Hip Big Boy

I think the bike needs a much longer straddle cable to clear the top tube & an angle U brake in order for the rear brake to work smoothly/properly but the rest is perfect ! wink cool

Re: 1997 2 Hip Big Boy

therobster,, is the bike using the original stem & fork set up ? I thought the Big Boy f/f only comes with 1 inch headset & threaded fork plus it had no U brake mounts ?!

No these are the Supernatural fork/stem combo, 1" but also with a clamp on stem which was a complete arse to fit due to the knurling round the top of the steerer tube.

Quite sure all of the Big Boys come with 990 mounts. smile

This kinda reminds me of the Hoffman Super Forks ! Never knew 2hip had something similar as well . Must've been the transition periord before everyone start moving on to the 1 1/8 set up .
