HAHA! I'd sh*t brix for sure! If it's still intact, I'd recognize it anywhere - I measured the inner circumference of the rims, cut out meticulously measured squares with heavy duty electrical tape & checker-boarded my chrome rims black. Sounds weird, but it was a real jaw-dropper! Just too bad I never got pics of it before it disappeared. ![]()

It's a shame you don't have the serial number wrote down, but I'd say that thing didn't make it to the 90's probably some of the parts still floating around

You're probably right.
Well, I can guarantee you the fork & 3-pc Turbo cranks aren't floating around anywhere, because I folded them both!
In fact, I folded the fork on the exact jump in the pic above. I think I've got 1-pc replacement cranks in this pic, too, because I bent the spindle and cracked/bent both of the arms right out of the box. (Still waiting for DB to send me my replacements 30 years later! HAHAHA!)
I never had these 2 events happen on any of my prior bikes - even the more delicate "racing only" rides.
I guess the Turbo wasn't made for the rigors I tended to put bikes through.
But, HOT DAMN(!), did that thing look COOL!

Re: If you're the guy who stole my Diamondback Turbo...
Are those top tens (adidas) your sporting? The first piece of transportation I ever bought was a pair of those at a ridiculous price of $100 plus in early 80's. Just found a pair new on eBay had to have them. No one mentions shows as transportation but thats how I thought of them might as well do it in style. Hope your bikes weren't crunched or recycled GLW the search.

Good eye! Those ARE Adidas, but not Top Tens. These were white/silver with a velcro strap - their 1st basketball high top to have them, as I recall. My buddies called them my "space shoes." Got 'em in the fall of 1982. Yep, they cost me a mint, but I got my money's worth out of them! ![]()

It's funny, the seat alone, (at today's value), is worth the whole the whole bike, (new in 83)!
Won't even mention what the tires would go for!
