Birthday Money

I recently got 200 in birthday money and 100 more to come by christmas.... I want to upgrade the Mach One... Any suggestions?
And I would love a pair of Big Gulp Bars.

Re: Birthday Money

Happy b-day, I just turned 16 in September cool Sorry I can't see the pics right now, photobucket links are blocked at school. I would go for the big gulp bars though, they are pretty cool smile

And I'd add new brakes with the rest of this.

And I would love a pair of Big Gulp Bars.

I would keep it simple, affordable, and effective:

-New Skinwall Comp III style tires (porkchop)
-New Ame Grips
-New Chain
-Clean and wax the black paint on the frame
-Tin foil w/ Pepsi or Coke. Rub balled up tin foil with a splash of pepsi/coke to easily remove the rust on the chrome parts --> Bars, Forks, and Seat post ONLY

This should only cost about 75 and in my opinion will give you the best results without blowing all of your hard earned b-day money big_smilecool

Re: Birthday Money

A few quick comments...happy B-day and good job by your dad.  I saw your thread the other day.  Personally I wouldn't put the B-G bars on that, but that's preferential.  If I were going for upgrades...I'd start with the crank set, not that anything is wrong with what you have.  In fact, your bike is kind of factory stock, which is how I tend to leave completes.

Re: Birthday Money

Actually the big gulp bars would be for my 2000 pro performer when I go with my buddies to taco bell or seven eleven. I actually want to start racing my bike so what can I do on it so I am not the slowest at least.
