1980 Morrison M
1980 Morrison M
20" MORRISON - The BMX M
BMX M
NZ made frame
A nice old school BMX made by Morrison NZ
This one is the earlier model to the Super X, the frames were the same but the forks and components differed
Original 20" size BMX frame with the 'M' in the front gusset - buffed and coated in candy blue (finished with Morrison headtube badge)
Original Tange 0I front forks - buffed and coated in candy blue
Original buffed chrome seatpost clamp
Original 20" composite ACS Z-rims in yellow made in Australia with NOS kenda's Comp III's
I will update pics and info as I build it up
Last pics shows that advert from a magazine dated 79-80, it shows the original BMX how it was sold with many other NZ icons

Cool bike. Where did you get the head tube badge from?

I've generally found them on the old school Morrison 10 and 12 speeds bikes, even the super maxy cranks can be found on some....
They used these parts in nz on alot of different bikes and bmx's, great finds in good nick
I found the latest raleigh seatpost in the back of an old shop last week when travelling on holiday along with other coloured parts,
gotta ask in old established shops, they generally have old stock out the back hidden away, stoked with the finds!

Some more updated pics,
I don't like the pedals so have ideas to change them and replace the stem with an original
as shown in the last pic, Will polish the bottom part of the stem and paint the top parts
yellow to match, also the cages on the pedals will be colour matched yellow
Since have added some polished Tourney BMX brake calipers, cheap grips, original Morrsion bars with poilshed dia-compe levers,
blue Sugino chainring on super maxy polished cranks, old raleigh 22.2Ø braced seatpost
