Starting on Monday May 20th, we are leaving Downtown Chicago. . I had a great time last year, Bird (jason) meet my buddy and me in Michigan city IN, and rode with us to New Buffalo, MI. he even bought us dinner, Jason is a cool guy. I will be taking the same route again, but not staying at the 2nd night hotel ( man that place was horrible here is the link to last years ride. I will be taking more pics this time and also looking for someone or two who wants to ride with me.

Jason, I am thinking I will come on a Sat and maybe ride with you guys, then leave on Sunday. can I stay at your place Saturday night ?

John, this time, if I commit, I COMMIT. I'd love to, and will take a look at it once you've chosen at least an approximate date. I assume late spring or sometime in summer, right?

anyone here in Detroit area interested please let me know. looking for 1 or 2 more. makes everything cheaper. split the gas to Chicago. and all the hotels would be split per 2 people, so example $80 hotel is $40 each. looking around $200 a person for hotel + food and gas. actually it will be more for 4 people than 3. 3 people can fit in 1 room, so 3 people thinking around $125 + gas and food. also would have to have everything YOU need. #1 is a nice backpack with a camelback (water) * walmart around $30*

1st night is New Buffalo, MI,(free breakfast) 2nd night Sturgis,MI, 3rd night, Tipton,MI (Irish Hills), but will be staying at a resort, so its nice. sorry its the only place around.

I would seriously consider it, but it would all be a matter of timing with work and family schedules.
Here's another thought......maybe if someone from Chicago 44t comes to MI for a ride or a show (like the spring Nelson Park show), they could give you a lift to Chicago on their way home. Food for thought.....

Chris (whatupethan) is signed up. we will also take some donations if anyone is interested (wont hold my breath for bmxjunkie to donate,cheap guy there)

but so far a local bike shop has pledged $100 and some shirts

The aforementioned show is fully 44T approved and endorsed. No date has been set yet, but it's usually the 2nd or 3rd weekend of May, and it's within 5 miles of Hermes33, Jokerman and my place, as well as few other cool locals like JohnCobra1, not to mention the world famous Albe's bike shop.
keep it in mind, and for sure when Hermes finalizes the details, we'll post it in the Chicago 44t thread

Sounds like a great idea, yeah any Chicago guys that could give us a lift back, we could pay for your gas back
