Beware of Counterfeit Bullseye items
Just got this email..I realize it is on ebay, not here, but thought everyone should know. GAry
We(Bullseye Cycle)Need your assistance immediately.
We discovered some COUNTERFEIT HUBS being sold on ebay from 3 different sellers. All three know
they are selling fakes and we suspect they were made in Riverside California by a machine shop there.
We were notified from an informant that works for us in California of the guilty parties intentions and have started
the federal law suit regarding the Trademark and product infringement(s)
The 3 sellers are:
MRIVAS 12
562bikeman- Looks like he is the ring leader, has the most and supplies all other sellers.
marissa123-2012
I need your help in notifying the BMX forumns and community on this COUNTERFEITING ring. They are blatantly stealing from Bullseye Cycle and are stealing sales from you(Calvin) with FAKE,COUNTERFEIT,KNOCK OFF inferior product. Not only is this a libility for Bullseye Cycle LLC but it steals money from us in the process of infringement. We will prosecute.
The only 3 authorized sellers of legitimate BULLSEYE hubs besides us are:
Calvin Wykcoff
Planet BMX
Brad Turner(OneRAD-on ebay)
California BMX warehouse had some hubs but is now sold out.
I have notified/reported the authorities on Ebay and in California and am having private investigations started
on the people involved so we can see the scale and find the source. We plan to obtain and legally document
and destroy the counterfeit items by a third party company.
Please notify the forums about the counterfiet hubs that were sold between 11/4/2012 thru TODAY. There is a set
listed right now that is FAKE. They are Polished and have a blurry picture. The bids are at $122.
Thanks
Christian

Re: Beware of Counterfeit Bullseye items
If you purchased any Bullseye hubs or wheelsets from these sellers in November, 2012, MRIVAS 12
562bikeman, marissa123-2012, you should start a FAKE PRODUCT refund process immediately,
through ebay, or Paypal if you purchased hubs outside of ebay.
Keep the hubs for the third party company, to be announced.
Thanks,
Calvin Wyckoff

Can we assume that the fraudulence of the alleged ring leader is limited to these hubs? I bought items from this person in October, a seat and a crankset

If you bought a "bullseye" crankset you can be 100% sure it's phony!
All this recently "found in the back room on a shelf" bullseye gear is bogus. ![]()

I recently saw 2 pairs of NOS Bullseye cranks at a LBS. One was for a mini. I know they're original from BITD but the owner knows I only want them to resell so he's not pressed to sell to me. Personally, I think they're hideous...
Seems like an awful lot of work for such a small profit return. Not that I'm denying Bullseye's claims but proof would go a long way before people are crucified. We've all seen many cases where someone's wrongly accused... Remember, people in this country are innocent until proven guilty.

I would say if the sellers were not doing wrong, they would not have cancelled there listings and bids.

Bullseye hubs, and cranks are pretty sweet stuff. It is sad to see that people would make knock offs and try to sell them as legit just for a few $'s...

Don't be so hasty to file a fake claim.
Maybe the fakes will actually work and not have loose axle issues like the last 3 pairs of legit Bullseye's I've owned. ![]()
I will only use Phil Wood now and have nary an issue.

No kidding.
After dealing with Bullseye lately and all the BS I was fed, I would not cross the street for for a free pair of their hubs.
