Trickstar score! Help with serial number please.

Picked up this f/f for dirt cheap last night. I've been out of the game for a while and forgot how the hutch seriel numbers work. I got it from my friend who's the original owner. The finish is torn up so it's a good candidate for a restore. Seriel number is 1156061 no baseball. Low and short profile front pegs.

Cool find. And +10000000 on leaving it original. It is only original once, and that looks perfect just how it is. cool

I'd rub it down with some 0000 steel wool. It looks to have its fair share of nicks but a lot just looks like smudges and dirt.

Nice Grab,
I agree 100%.This OG paint thing is so played out. I had some, well still have some OG bikes. The 1st time one of my none bike buddys came over and looked at my collection. He was like when are you going to redo these.I told him they were all OG and very rare to find in this condition. He turns around and says to me,Ya but they still look like $hit,LMAO.From that day on most of my stuff gets perfect NOS stuff of refinished.
We are all after that Christmas morning 1985 feeling.I would be one pissed off kid if my Trick Star looked like that,LOL

I totally disagree. If I were looking to buy a bike I would pay much more for a survivor then a restored one. To me a true survivor holds much more value then any restored bike. Restored bikes look alright but it is very far from the same as a OG finish bike. Survivors are AWESOME! If done correctly this frame and fork will clean up nicely, and be a Awesome survivor.

And that is the great thing about this hobby. You can enjoy what you like and I can do the same, wink If a bike is restored right then how is anyone the wiser.I have bikes NOS right out of the box and restored bikes. I take great pride in bringing something back to like new condition.
Just remember that the rest of the world could care less about OG this OG that. They just like shiny new looking stuff. To them it is just a beat up old BMX bike,LOL

that last part of your statement is very far from true. There are a lot of people here, there, everywhere that prefer OG over restored any day of the week...
