Re: Old School Freestyle - Windy Osborn
Windy goes back alot farther than Freestylin. She worked with her dad Bob and brother RL on BMXA as far back as 1979. She's an Icon in BMX photography, and has photographed (and written many an article about) almost every big named pro from the 1980's.
I'm sorry I offended you by calling you stupid, but I thought you already knew.

Re: Old School Freestyle - Windy Osborn
Well aware, but thanks for pointing that out, I should have elaborated. Was just throwing in freestylin' as that was my generation (and more my side of the house). Lots to read about on her (and her bro of course). If somebody hasn't checked out her work I highly suggest it. Thanks man!

I bet that was pretty cool. I am going to have to get a print. Fantastic shots from BITD.

Re: Old School Freestyle - Windy Osborn
I remember her from way back at all of the AFA contests. She was really pretty, taking pictures, and I did my best not to stare.
Edit: We are lucky to have all of her photos today to look at. I'm glad that she took them all, she captured a piece of our history perfectly. Total professional!

Re: Old School Freestyle - Windy Osborn
I was reading some about Wendy on Steve Emig's blog a while back.
I've always loved her work, and it sounds like she's a class act all around.

For sure. I actually emailed her a while back to inquire about a print and thanked her as well for essentially documenting everything in such an amazing way. She actually got back with me and sent a great email (and even added a little note in there stating to my Fiance, never come between a boy and his bike and everything will be fine - with regards to how much time I spend "tinkering" with my bikes).
It's great to be able to go back and look at those (and in many cases having that feeling of, "I have seen this shot before, somewhere..." And just knowing it was probably when you were 12. Good stuff. Super cool lady.

For sure. She was great about answering questions and requests for her prints. And i mean, her brother is RL. How cool would that be? Good team.
