Safe to sandblast Lester wheels?
I think this might be a dumb question but I just want to be sure. Lester mags are safe to sandblast right? Just wanted to check because they are some type of alloy I guess, didn't want them to get damaged. -Thanks for any info you guys can give me, I'm sure someone has done it before. ![]()

ummm you might want to use a different media. Sand may f%%k them up.

just as a guide-you never use sand on aluminum.

Re: Safe to sandblast Lester wheels?
^That's the issue, they aren't straight aluminum. They are some kind of alloy and i'm not sure if it even has aluminum in it
I think you guys are right though, my dad knows a guy that does soda and bead blasting so I will probably end up having them beadblasted

I use Aircraft Paint Stripper, just spray and it lifts paint off the surface. Use gloves & goggles, it burns bad!!

^I heard it was good stuff too, I will have to look around - I think I have some chemical paint stripper somewhere...
