My first Haro score... double the pleasure!!!!
So I get a call from a local guy looking to sell his old bikes due to his basement flooding and looking to move out of the place asap. He said he had some midschools and a few old parts laying around from when he was a kid. I had my hopes up until I arrived at the house and realized that it was falling apart and and the basement looked more so like a dungeon. That's until I looked in the corner of the room and spotted these two puppies... ![]()
The Haro frame has a long serial number and ends in 85. So I'm assuming it's an 85 sport but not sure. I don't know much about Haros. Any experts out there feel free to comment.
I do know that the pink fork is very rare.
I did some quick research on the pink Haro and decided to call him back to see how he came about that fork. He said that him and his buddy traded forks because his friend wanted to brake up the color on his pink bike... lol! I immediately asked if his buddy still had the frame laying around, but he said that it happened many years ago.
The other bike appears to be a 1993 Haro Group1 race edition or something along those lines... I'm not positive about it though. I know it has some nice fusion parts and a nice haro sproket w/ some aquablue araya wheels.
Like I said before I'm no expert on Haros so if you have any info on the years or models feel free...
Thanks for looking!
Sorry about the bad pics. I'll snap a few more pics after I get done cleaning them.

You might want to contact this guy. I am sure he will want your pink forks!

Considering the rarity of these pink Haros, could those not be the og forks from that frame?

I won't mess w/ them at all. I think I'm just going clean them up and let someone else that really need them enjoy them. I know they're rare to find in pink and I'm sure someone out there has a pink frame w/o forks that can use them. I just wish the guy calls me saying he got a hold of his buddy and that he still have the frame put away in the attic or something. lol! I know , I know I'm dreaming!!!

I bet he would!

Seriously jayjay80, the odds are pretty good tbone5446 has the frame that once belonged to your buddy, and the one your forks came from.
There are believed to possibly be only 9 original pink Haros left anywhere in the world.

That's a good question. How can someone verify that?
I guess the question now is... where did he get that pink Haro from??? I'm going to pm him right now.
I know the guy lived in Cleveland his whole life but don't know about his buddy.
They were definitely big into bikes and owned Haros in the 80s.

I just pmd him... can't wait to find out where he acquired the pink bike from. I don't know the previous owner to my haro but I do know he had many bikes growing up including a red hustler pro. I believe those are rare too. Don't know any info on the other guy though.

He does... are you interested? I'll get you a good contact number or tell me what you need and I'll find out for you. I'm going to stop by today and see if I can get more info on his buddy and pick up some mags. Hopefully he's still at the place cause he was moving soon he said and his number is now disconnected.

Sweet!!!! Can't wait to figure this whole thing out. Even if they are not original to your bike it will make me happy to see them go on a pink frame.
So are we trading frames???? ![]()

It don't look to me that the front forks have the holes for fork standers.
