I don't have all the details yet.
Talk to GAry.

We will have a much clearer description soon.
They have sold one set and this is the second set.
If you read the description, do you understand how 2 sets of Bullseye hubs were taking up so much room in the garage?

Re: Fake Bullseye hubs

Sorry if I'm outta place with this - but I haven't given a bullseye product a second glance since '03 (didn't care for'um much when Roger was around, theres no way i'd even consider them now)
Probably the single most played out hub in the hobby.

That said - the issue still needs to be addressed, thievery don't fly no matter what the circumstances may be.

Re: Fake Bullseye hubs

Yep,easy to tell they are fakes, ano is way off any color of og bullseyes i have seen, the outside flanges have to much aluminum where it steps down to the center hub, decals look fake too, collars don't look right either,3/8 bullseyes come with black bolts not silver.Sometimes i change mine to stainless but that is not how they come.

Here are some of the red flags on the counterfeit/fake hubs: Partial list.

1)Spoke holes on flanges, The ID is too large and has improper countersinking dimensions.

2)The anodizing is way off, To light and shiney and wrong color hues. If you look close at any
of the fake hubs, you can also easily spot the anodizing is chipped on the area between where the center and the flange meet. We have used the same anodizer for years and this is not our ano.
The chipping is from improper assembly by the counterfeiters as well as improper dimensions proportionally on both the hub and the flange. We use a design specific press for our hubs and have for years. The fakes were not assembled properly.

3)The machining on the flange, near the center is rough cut, there was no finish pass on the CNC lathe when these were made.

4) The set screws are the wrong size. We use .125 sets and the fake use .250 or so.

5) The bearings are not a brand we ever used. They are also not installed correctly, They stick out
due to the bad machining and assembly parameters being way off.

6) The threads on the freewheel side flange has different lead in measurements. Different from
any of the years we used CNC's to manufacture them.

7)The decals are a poor digitally printed knock-off, They have easy to spot inconsistent cut patterns on the right aside and the font is off. The spacing, the font, the out line. Everything is way off. We use the same graphics people from 1984 and they are made the same way. Our decals are perfect, exact style that we have always used.

8)The axles are made from rolled steel, our are constructed from heat treated chromoly 4130 that has been centerless ground. The threads on the counterfeits is loose where as our is tight and the material is wrong.
