BMX Arts and Crafts

Last night I decided to make a custom number plate for my as found survivor Trick Star. I usually don't care for plates on freestyle bikes, but the forklifter bars look great with one IMHO. After a few beers I came up with a clean ready for sponsorship decals plate:

Then this morning I was enjoying a coffee and a moment of tranquility and I thought I would have done a totally different design of plate BITD. So here is what I came up with before the Steelers beat the Ravens today.
http://i746.photobucket.com/albums/xx110/looptailnut/IMG_1259.jpg

This plate was super easy to make.
1. I traced the bars out onto a piece of cardboard
2. mark center of the template
3. cut out one side of the tracing
4. fold on center line, and trace the shape from the other side insuring a symetricial design.
5. Use the cardboard template to trace onto the sintra board (3/16" thick pvc based sign material)
6. Cut out and place deigns on it, then mount

Yep!....that's the way to do it! I made a Haro plate the same way. It's pretty fun too.

Wow there are some squealer fans out there a few bad calls and Cam Cameren. No we were not around in the 80's but the Colts were.
