i would say yes. 
outa the 6 pairs i have handled (built buy me or others); none of them have needed trueing. one of those pair were mtb and raced simi-professionally for 7 years. the ones i have pictured above- didnt make a single "ping" when i laid them down on the axle and did baby handstand on them yikes

How fast do the twisted spokes need to be trued?
seems like they would go out of true often.

with the spun radial, do you get alot of side to side flex?

I've thought about trying to lace both of these ways, just don't want to waste my time if i'm going to have to re-lace them soon after.

edit; looks like one of my questions was answered while i wasn't looking  lol

That spun radial wheel looks pretty awesome. I have never been a fan of the twisted spoke look though.
