Profile Retro Cranks/ Spider Back spacing?

Just wondering if I bought the wrong sprocket for my set of Profile Retro cranks. It seems like it is to thick and might not line-up that well with the rear cog. I am putting them on a 2012 24" 38 Special. Thanks for your help

Re: Profile Retro Cranks/ Spider Back spacing?

You can place the chainring on the outter or inner portion of the spider which will help you align your chain line. No rules here and it can also depen which look you like better also. Some prefer the chainring on the front, some on the back. There is no right or wrong way.

I've done both on various bikes to help align the chain line.

I've also looked at buying the same chainring but dammit, I need one in red. sad
