A Different Look for the Skyway T/A.....Dirt Bros style.

A Skyway T/A built from all original Skyway tubing, including the rear triangle, front end, dropouts, headtube, and BB shell. I had the front end reinforced with a Skyway Streetbeat front end and gusset. The tubing was purchased years ago from Skyway in Redding, CA. I've always wanted to re-create an early 90's Dirt Bros. bike so this is platform from which I'm starting with.

DBI never bought any tube sets nor did they have any frames welded up BITD.  They never had to.  in 1991, Skyway could not sell the TA because nobody wanted them anymore and they had already released the 300 TA which was to replace the OG TA.  Skyway had hundreds of finished frames in white only.  DBI bought the remainder of TA F&F sets, restickered and sold as DBI.  Finding a bonafide real one would be a score.  The extra tube sets were built into frames recently by Skyway and sold for double what they were worth.  Bet they wish they hadn't sold their back stock to Vic and crew.  Imagine the melee if a few dozen NOS OG TA F&F sets hit the market at once today.

Note- Since Vic has DBI back in business to some extent, I would be pretty cautious about making fakes with the DBI name and graphics.

I only have this frame and there won't be anymore built, there isnt enough tubing around anyway. Plus, I was in contact with Vic when I thought about putting this together and he even emailed me the art for the decals, thanks.
