It has been some time since I have done a build thread , and since this will be my last build for a while , I just wanted to share it with you all.......
Like most fans of 80,s Haro bikes we all seem to love the Day glow red FST ,,,,,made popular by Haro team rider Brian Blyther ,,even though the word is Brian never rode the FST in competions as it was to short for his tall build ..
This build will not be a straight out part for part catalogue build ,,instead I am thinking off a few upgrades and am going to build it up to a slightly higher spec ,keeping in mind to still used period correct parts from 85 /86 Haro,s etc
Most of the parts have been purchased and are on there way down under , so I will update the thread as things progress

I purchased the frame and forks , Bars of museum member getmoney ( Dave ) , he was nice enough to post the items to Chip @ C4 to get the restoration work done on the frame set and get it powdered in Red ,,,,
The frame set is in great shape no cracks dings or rewelds etc only the usual drop out marks and surface rust you would expect from a frame from the 1980,s...
The build date on this frame set is 8511 ,this making it one of the last 85,s built before production of the 86 frame sets started ... there are no fork standers and no cable guides on either forks or frame , thus consistant with an 85 ...

As I purchased the frame & forks of Dave

After Chip did the restoration work

As you can see the Red just screams out at you .........

Really looking froward to following this thread Adam! The red Chip uses, is just stunning. As with all your builds, I'm sure this is going to look sick!!!

Thanks Colin ..........You are right about the red ,,,it just pops ,,,,,great color ,Haro should have offered it in the Master and Sport .........

Yeah I was expecting this one! Looking AWESOME... as usual. I would like to see this red thing in person. I'm sure it looks even more awesome. I'm in for sure!

LOT of progress made. Almost there. But can you believe that the day I wanted to update with some pictures my camera died? bad luck.. still waiting for the warranty service.

BUT after seeing yours, I've taked some pics with my phone and I'm uploading them right now. You'll see them in a few minutes..

Spent a few hours last night getting some parts ready for the chrome plater ,these should come up real nice after a rechrome..............

Got some parts in the mail today Tioga beartrap II head set and a really nice group 1 stem from Museum member orestt ............

G.D. that RED looks Killer...

I may have to do a RED FST build one day.......Or if the right Master frame/fork candidate came along....

I got some more quality Parts in the mail today a nice repo dominator seat and a really sweet set of Peregrine Super pro,s from Museum member therobster ...........THANK U Rob these are going to look the shiz and ride sweet too "BLING BLING".................

im puttin same seat as yours on mine but will have tuff 2 rims painted orange ill be sure to follow your bikes man they all look sick
