Re: 1980 Mongoose Motomag

Awesome! I had one that was identical to this! Got it for my 12th birthday in 1981 (I believe it was an '80 model left over to March '81). Unfortunately years later I gave it to my cousin in Jacksonville, FL. where someone stole it. Shame. It was my pride and joy when I was a kid.

Did you clean those wheels? How? I have some II's that need shined up to original condition.

If it's got two wheels, jump it.

Re: 1980 Mongoose Motomag

This is just like the one my Dad bought me for my B-day. I was suppose to get a dirtbike but my mother didn't let my Dad buy it for me. But I glad I had this bike instead... I remember that summer!!! it was the best! Any Idea where I can get one or parts to start building my own?

Re: 1980 Mongoose Motomag

I'm not really into these older geese, but this bike is sharp and showroom clean.  It's nice to look at.
