A job interview may turn into a score!
I interviewed today at work for a supervisors position. The conversation got to skating and bmx my true loves. Well I mentioned I ride freestyle and am waiting on a Redline to show up to build, the head shop manager says I got an old Redline freestyle bike hanging in the garage. He says its old and will need cleaned up. This guy only has top of the line stuff. I said I am interested, the rest of the interview went great too!
Now I got a 4 day weekend to wonder what kind of bike it is and if I will get the position. LOL! ![]()
Glad I got bikes to build!!!!
I started riding 20" bikes at 4 years old and I still ride 45 years later! But as I see it, why not!!!!
Btw I have nothing against survivors, but I like my bikes looking nice and new! So dont hate!!!! LOL!
Looking for: Ozone method frame(like everyone),

Re: A job interview may turn into a score!
man best of luck to ya, but it's a rule that goes without saying around here.... don't post potential score threads. I hate to say it, but approximately 60% of those "I'll be getting that bike in a few days" kinda posts fall through entirely. it's considered bad gri gri to post potential scores here
hope you get the bike and the job though!
What's the point of having a bike if you're not going to ride it?

It might be a good idea not to screw your new boss out of his childhood bike.
Pay him fairly for the bike. ![]()

Re: A job interview may turn into a score!
I could only hope for a RL20ii but he said it was 15-20 years old, so that puts it out of the time frame. I'm not sure what all freestyle bikes Redline made in the 90's. I am hopeing it is one of the RL20ii copies!
He bought it for his son and he never got into it and it has been sitting since. He just wants it gone. He offered to give it to me but I told him I would give him a fair price. It wouldn't do me any good to cheat him and then work for him! Thats not my style.
Sorry about forum ettiquet but I did not post this to brag about a possible score, but just to make light of the long weekend of anticipation waiting to find out about both. ![]()
Happy Thanksgiving to everybody!!!!!! Even my friends back in England!! We enjoyed our Thanksgiving feast in Peterborough, UK. back in 1988!!!! ![]()

Re: A job interview may turn into a score!
Well I still havent heard about the job. But he did bring in the bike and WOW to my amazement it was older then he thought and turned out to be a 1988 made in 1987 by serial number RL20ii in chrome! It had the forklifter bars, 401 single pinch cranks, Redline stem, 883 front brake suntour xc rear brake. We worked out a price and it is now laying in a OA bath in my bathtub at home! I am so stoked!!!! ![]()

Don't get much better!!! Best of luck in the job search too!
I knew a guy that thought Dorf was a real....ah...little person. I asked how he thought he could fall back and spring right up like that. He didn't know.
