Cool pickup yesterday
I've been sick as a dog the past few days and haven't done much of anything besides sleep. I woke up yesterday to a text saying "look what I got, you need anything?". I went over and checked it out and struck a deal on this
Also picked up a chrome Hutch laid back post with minor rust and a Diamond Back slant stem.
I'm not too familiar with exact spec GT parts. Are the the correct style superlace hubs? From what I've seen, they are.

Re: Cool pickup yesterday
That's a really nice wheel set, albiet needing some resto. Looks like you got the whole bike pretty well. I don't know late '80's too well, but I'm guessing that is '87/'88?
Red alert! .....I am down to one pair of red cages. Speak now or forever hold your peace.

Re: Cool pickup yesterday
87 to 89 are the years this frameset ran in production. I have an 89. In 89 a smal number of them was stickered up as 90's
I got lots of stuff, what you need? lol

Re: Cool pickup yesterday
Thanks guys!
This will be a pretty cool rider. Maybe once I gather the correct missing pieces, I'll restore it. There's some rusty spots where the scratches were but no dents, dings or cracks.
For now I'm just going to clean it up and ride it.

Yup. I still hate you ![]()
If you find a F/S or trade ad from me, ignore it. If you send me a PM and I don't reply right away, I'm not ignoring you - just busy at the moment.
Do I owe you feedback? Please remind me via PM and I'll take care of it.

Re: Cool pickup yesterday
Thanks guys! The blue is one of my least favorite colors for 87' but the stickerbomb looks so cool with it. After the holiday, I'll clean it up and see how the spraybomb comes off the rear triangle and seatpost.

Cool pickup.
I love all the Oakley stickers. ![]()
I can not sit still. I have been tested for A.D.D. and A.D.H.D. and have neither. I don't need coffee, I just need a B.M.X. or surfboard to consistently ride and I'll be happy.
