Crank question...Profiles
So I see that Profile has these new "spline Drive" sprockets....now, typically, you would have to use the bossless cranks that they sell. What I'm wondering is if I just used the typical left crank arm on the right side, switched pedals and all that jazz....
Will that work? It's like the hillbilly version, but I'm just wondering..![]()
It's really more of I'm a cheap ass that don't wanna pay for the bossless cranks....

Re: Crank question...Profiles
Nope. Your pedals will spin off eventually. You can just remove the boss bolt and run them that way. I asked Profile if they had a flush mount bolt, but they do not.
They gave me the specs on what would work. I have that info at home and if I remember, I'll post it up.

Re: Crank question...Profiles
Oh, for an easy fix, they suggested filling the boss hole with silicon. I don't like that idea as I may run a regular sprocket some day.

Re: Crank question...Profiles
the cool thing about a spline drive sprocket is that you could use a rhd crank and still run lhd, you dont need to flip crank arms or anything just flip the sprocket and the spacers.
i have spline drive sprockets on 3 of my bikes and i love them, i dont see my self going back to a regular sprocket unless im running something that isnt 19mm 48spline
and all 3 of my cranks has bosses for a sprocket bolt ![]()

Re: Crank question...Profiles
If running LHD, swap spacers. If running RHD, remove the boss bolt.
